The Lab is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's online gateway to science.
Here you'll find programs from ABC radio and TV as well as original online material including a daily science news service, fortnightly features and forums.
Created in 1997, with a grant from the Australian Government's Science and Technology Awareness Program (STAP), The Lab is dedicated to science generally, and young Australians particularly.
The Lab has been spectacularly successful winning many awards for excellence including the 2003 Prix Italia Prize.The Lab continues to recieve funding through the National Innovation Awareness Strategy (NIAS), administered jointly by the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) and the Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources (DITR).
